Overview
The Ruhrpumpen SCE-L is a High-Head/Low-Flow (OH2) process pump with a semi-open impeller, engineered for high pressures at low volumes. Its back-pull-out design simplifies maintenance, and each unit is built and tested to API 610 (latest edition). Indicative performance: heads up to ~330 m and media temperatures up to ~450 °C. Typical services include refining, (petro)chemicals, hot-oil duty, boiler-feed/HRSG recirculation, and other high-pressure processes.
Additional information
The SCE-L features end-suction, centerline discharge and hydraulically balanced hydraulics to minimize axial loads and extend bearing life. A reinforced casing is designed for nozzle loads exceeding API requirements. Thanks to a very favorable L³/D⁴ shaft-stiffness ratio, shaft deflection remains minimal. Options include low-NPSHa solutions (e.g., inducer), bearing-housing water cooling, and pure/purge oil-mist lubrication. Materials follow RP standards (e.g., A8, C6, D1/D2, S1/S5/S6/S8, T1/T2) to match wear and corrosion resistance.
