For the tanker vessel Nordic Lynx, Roodhart has been involved in the design, engineering and supply of a containerized ballast water treatment system.
In following of the current emission regulations, the mandatory fit of a ballast water treatment system sometimes calls for some creativity. In this particular case it wasn’t entirely possible to make arrangements for placing the BWS below deck hence it was suggested to go for an on-deck solution.
By offering this as an alternative, Roodhart has on the one hand provided a solution that is compliant with current emission regulations and on the other hand with the best and most economical interest of our customer. As a result the sister vessel to the Nordic Lynx is planned for a similar outfit in the beginning 2021. A solid job makes for solid customers! That’s what we strive for!
